Kiir's Adviser Meets Sudan's Burhan to Discuss Oil and Peace

South Sudan's presidential security adviser, Tut Gatluak Manime, met Sudan's leader, Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, in Khartoum on Wednesday to discuss cooperation between the two countries. Gatluak delivered a message from President Salva Kiir and said the talks focused on peace, regional security, trade, and South Sudan's oil exports through Sudan. They also discussed improving border security and creating joint commercial zones. Despite recent tensions over the disputed Abyei region, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening relations. Gatluak also announced that President Kiir has invited Burhan to visit Juba, and the invitation was accepted.
