Kiir Reshuffles Upper Nile State Government

President Salva Kiir has issued a series of presidential decrees making major changes to the Upper Nile State Government.
The changes include the dismissal and appointment of state advisers, ministers, county commissioners, members of independent commissions, and lawmakers in the Upper Nile State Legislative Assembly.
Among the new appointments, **Joseph Aban Odong** was named State Advisor for Peace and Security, while **Dok Guot Ngor** became State Advisor for Economic Affairs. **Rt. Hon. Philip Akol Amon** was appointed Speaker of the Upper Nile State Legislative Assembly.
President Kiir thanked the outgoing officials for their service and wished the newly appointed leaders success in serving the people of Upper Nile State. The decrees took effect immediately.
